In short
Dribble Dozen is a free game for Android. It has no accounts and no in-app purchases, and it never asks for your location, camera, contacts or files. Your scores and settings stay on your phone.
The game is paid for by ads, which are served by Google AdMob. Those ads are the one part of the app that sends anything off your device, and this page explains what that means.
What the app itself stores
To remember how you have been doing, the game saves a few values in its own storage on your device:
- your best game clock, your highest dribble count and the most balls you have had on the court at once,
- your settings, such as whether sound is on.
These values are never sent to the developer or to anyone else. There is no server behind the game and no copy of them anywhere but your phone. You can delete them at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.
Ads
Ads in Dribble Dozen come from Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited, or Google LLC outside the EEA). There are two kinds: a rewarded video you choose to watch, and an occasional interstitial between games. There is no banner on the court.
To serve, cap and measure those ads, and to detect fraud, Google may collect and process:
- your device's advertising ID and other device or app identifiers,
- approximate location derived from your IP address, at country or city level, not GPS,
- device and app information, such as model, operating system version, language and the app you are using,
- ad interaction data, such as which ads were shown, watched, closed or clicked,
- diagnostics, such as crash and performance data from the ad code.
Google acts as an independent controller of this data. What it does with it is described in Google's Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
The developer does not receive your advertising ID or any other identifier from Google. Only aggregate reporting is available, such as how many ads were shown and what they earned.
Consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app shows a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform before the first ad. You choose there whether Google and its advertising partners may use your data for personalised ads.
If you say no, ads still appear, but they are non-personalised: they are chosen from the context and general information such as approximate location, not from a profile built about you. Non-personalised ads still use device identifiers for frequency capping, ad reporting and fraud prevention.
How to change your mind
- In the app: open the pause or timeout screen and choose Privacy options. That reopens the same consent form, and you can change or withdraw your choices there at any time.
- On your phone: Android's Settings → Privacy → Ads lets you reset or delete your advertising ID. Deleting it stops apps, including this one, from receiving a personalised identifier.
No accounts, no purchases
There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to buy. The game contains no in-app purchases and no subscription, and it does not include Google Play Billing.
Children
Dribble Dozen is not directed at children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the app, write to the address below and it will be dealt with.
